Dora Live!

This weekend, Mom and I took the kids to see Dora Live! in Dallas. (Nick and my dad headed to see a Ranger game) After wiping out the entire souvenir shop, we sat in excellent seats to watch the show. Maddie was in awe and sat with her mouth open taking it all in. Wyatt was a little afraid and sat with either mom or I the entire time. He would occasionally clap or sit up to look at everything that was going on. It was a GREAT production and we are excited about taking the kids to more events like this!

Lazy...Crazy days of Summer....

So we have basically gone to the swimming pool every day this summer. It is such a nice way to cool off and keep the kids busy. We have also enjoyed some Mommy/Kid time at the pool with some of our dear friends from our Life Group. This morning we met for such a morning and I was crazy enough to bring all 3 kids in my care.(my little cousin is hanging out with us this week!)We had a great time and now all 3 kids are sacked out...very nice!

4th of July--Barrett Style

After the parade, we all drove to Pittsburg, Texas, to have a Barrett Family Reunion. All of my dad's siblings were going to be able to get together and trust me...you don't miss an event like that!

Visiting!

My Papaw

We had a cookout with the works...It was SO HOT outside..but we had a blast visiting with everyone!

He was EVERYWHERE!!!

Having fun on the slide.

Wyatt thought the perfect place to set his cookie would be on Daddy's forehead...whatever works!

The kids got to play with some of their cousins.

The Barrett's (this isn't even close to all of us...6 of my cousin's and their families weren't here and of course my brother )

Maddie snuck away for a while and when I found her she was REALLY enjoying putting on some of Madison's makeup.

Maddie and her cousin's Olivia and Madison....Olivia will be coming to stay with us in about a week.

Wyatt sitting on Uncle Chris's motorcycle.

**We got back to my parents house last night around 9:30pm. We had seen some fireworks on the way home but once we pulled into their driveway they were all around us. Maddie loved watching them and really couldn't get enough of them. We were all sitting their watching them when Maddie said, "The fireworks are going off because they are proud of Jame." In that moment we all remembered what we were celebrating and I do believe the fireworks were going off last night because they were proud of my brother and all the other soldiers who give so selflessly for our freedom.

4th of July Parade

Saturday morning we drove to Waxahachie to see a parade. My mom is a Blue Star Mom and heads up the Ellis County chapter so they were in the parade. We let Maddie ride with Mom and Dad and we watched the parade with Wyatt.
