I took the kids to the dr. yesterday for their check ups. Maddie is now 35 lbs. 38 1/4 inches long. She got her shots and was NOT happy about that at all...but two stckers and a sucker later was a little more happy.
Wyatt is now 25 lbs. and 29in. He did not get his shots yesterday because they wanted to run the EEG test on him and get the results back first. For those of you who do not know yet...Wyatt started having some odd behavior last week that looked a little seizure like. He had the EEG this morning and we should have the results back by the middle of next week. They had to send the results to Cook's to be read.
Hopefully and Prayerfully, Wyatt will get a clean bill of health and then he will get his immunizations next week.
My kids are SO big now!!!

Pumpkin Carving
Last night Maddie and Nick carved her very first pumpkin. She was a little hesitant at first but then really started to like it...so much so that she was begging to stick her hand in all that pumpkin goo.
First look inside the pumpkin and not so sure she likes it!
Getting brave....
Lovin it!
Helping dad
Making the same face as her pumpkin.
Couldn't resist putting a cute pic of wyatt on here. He wasn't really into the pumpkin carving but sure did enjoy sitting ouside with us.

Bippity Bobbity BOO!
Maddie's grandma bought her some princess dress up clothes for her birthday. So tonight we thought we would try them out. Isn't she the cutest princess?? I took a video of Maddie saying the infamous line from Cinderella, "Bippity Bobbity BOO!" And of course when Maddie says, "boo", wyatt must join in.

It's cake time!
So very excited!
The Gang
He REALLY enjoyed the cake.
Papaw and Nana teaching Maddie to play one of her new games, Candyland, before bed.
Wyatt learning to ride his fire truck from Aunt Sha-Sha.
Cousin Carson was very upset he didn't get any cake! (Hang in there bud, next year you can have all you want!)
Thank you to everyone who made my kids birthdays a blast. We are blessed to have such a wonderful friends and family to celebrate milestones like these.

Happy Birthday Maddie!!!
Today is my sweet girls birthday. Since the moment we found out we were pregnant with her, she has brought us SO much joy. She never ceases to amaze us or remind us how lucky we are to have her. She is our sweet miracle from God and we are thankful every day to be her parents.
Here are my "Top Ten" Reason to be Amazed by Maddie:
1. She loves Jesus and speaks to him daily.
2. She cuddles and wrestles with her brother and is the best big sister.
3. She always wants to cuddle with us before bed...this is the sweetest time nick and I spend with her.
4. She is sensitive, I mean to the smallest things...she has such a compassionate heart already.
5. She asks LOTS of questions, she already asks us some of the hard ones about life.
6. She has never met a stranger!
7. Her bouncy curls.
8. She is so smart, her memory baffles us sometimes.
9. She is very energetic and is always up for an adventure.
10. Her smile is the best and so is her laugh, she can always make me smile!
Maddie, We LOVE you so much and are thankful for every day we spend with you. We can't wait to watch you grow into a beautiful little girl. Happy Birthday Mads!

Happy Birthday Wyatt!!!
My sweet son is turning 1 today at exactly 4:04pm. That is so hard to believe! The past year has just flown by. It has been pure joy to have watched him grow into such a sweet, gentle, energetic little tot.
Here are my "Top Ten Reasons" to be in AWE of Wyatt:
1. From day one he has made his place in our family
2. He gives the best slobbery kisses
3. He thinks his big sister hung the moon
4. He growls at everyone...still...it means he likes ya!
5. He let me nurse him for a whole year! (something I am going to miss SO much)
6. He likes to cuddle right before bed time.
7. His laugh is SO contagious.
8. He is determined and stands his ground with Maddie.
9. He is curious about the world around him.
10. God made him SO perfect and we have been so blessed to have him as our son.
We love you Wyatt and can't wait to see you continue to grow and learn every day!

Maddie and Carson
Little Carson has started staying at the same daycare as Maddie and Wyatt. As you can see a bond between Maddie and sweet Carson is already growing. She really likes to "mommy" him and take care of him. This video is too sweet!

State Fair of Texas
This past weekend we took the kids to the fair. We went with my parents and we all had such a great time. I think will have to make this a yearly tradition!
Dad and Maddie before the carousal ride.
She loved the carousal!
trying to win a prize with dad
She liked the Dora swing!
going through a fun house with nana.
The can fry just about anything these days...this isn't even the half of what we saw and ate!!!
Maddie eating her first Fletcher's corny dog.
Petting a calf.
***I swear Wyatt was along on this trip too but since he stayed in the stroller the whole time...I guess I forgot to take a picture of him.

We've been BOOED!!!
So Monday night we had just gotten home from Nick's parents house and were putting the kids to bed...when all of a sudden....someone started knocking on our door and ringing the doorbell. I ran to the door because it sounded urgent and below is what I found sitting on our front porch.
This basket is full of lots of goodies from SLIME, to cookie mix, stuff to decorate cookies, a puzzle for maddie, orange juice, hallowwen plates and napkins, an apron for maddie, etc...
Although she is totally denying it...I know it was my sweet friend Kathy who put this all together. Thank you Kathy for making our night so much fun, you are so creative and I appreciate everything you do for us. You make our life sweeter!

Pumpkin Patch
We took the kids tonight to the pumpkin patch. Maddie wanted to pick up and move every pumpkin she saw and Wyatt was more interested in eating the hay. I still think I managed to get some good pictures of them. Enjoy!

1998 Cooper Cougars
We spent this past weekend celebrating Nick's 10 year class reunion. We had a great time catching up with some of Nick's old friends and enjoyed the reunion dinner Saturday night. I didn't get the best pictures from the weekend but here are a few that I managed to take. *Notice* not one single one of Nick and I...how did I forget to take one of us!!
Maddie, Aunt Kristi and Uncle Webb at lunch Saturday in the Cooper cafeteria.
Little Carson...all tuckered out from the festivities!
Webb, Nick and their friend Chris.
Night on the town...don't these new parents look great..not sleep deprived at all:-)
