Birthday Party!!!!

This weekend we celebrated the kids' birthdays at May Farm. It was the perfect place for my kids because they have a love for everything outdoors and for animals. Nick and I keep talking about how wonderful the day was...the weather was perfect, the kids had a blast and most of all Maddie and wyatt can't stop talking about it. Here is a look at our party....

Happy Birthday Baby Boy!!!

Today is Wyatt's second birthday. It is so hard to believe what a big boy he is now. He is your typical little boy...so full of energy and SO funny! His personality cracks me up...he almost always has a smile on his face or a mischievous look. He LOVES his big sister and wants to be with her ALL the time. He is also talking a lot more now saying things like, "Manny tom ear" (Maddie come here), "LeeLee cryin" (our dog Hunter that the kids call LeeLee), and "I wan popar" (I want poptart). And the list goes on...he is starting to label all sorts of things and he is putting about 2-3 words together. His favorite things are poptarts, shoovies (movies), pomies (ponies), CARS!, trains, books and any kind of music he can dance too. He has started saying his prayers at night...imitating what Nick and I say but also saying some of the names of our family members. He tells us when he is wet and dirty...yes...potty training is right around the corner!
Wyatt, I never dreamed the amount of joy you could bring to our lives. You are the best gift from God and the best friend we could give Maddie. You make everyday an adventure and we love watching you learn everyday. Happy Birthday sweet boy, your mommy and daddy love you SO much!

Perfect Evening

This evening, Nick was feeling much better after battling the swine flu, and the kids were a little tired of being cooped up in the house, so we all decided to go outside and enjoy the nice cool evening weather. I took these pictures with my cell phone so they aren't the clearest.
I love evenings like this....

Wyatt had just finished saying, "Manny (Maddie) hup (help) me!"

My kids are so sweet to each other...this is my favorite thing about having two kids, they truly love one another.

Nick and I laughed so hard when we saw this picture. Nick was bouncing a ball off the roof and the kids were watching to see if it would hit mommy. But by the look on Maddie's face you would have thought she was seeing the second coming!

Fall Pics

Check out all of Maddie and Wyatt's Fall Pics by clicking on my photography blog on the right...My Cup Runneth Over Photography.

State Fair of Texas

We went to the state fair this past weekend with my parents. I have been going to the fair since I was very young and I couldn't wait for wyatt and maddie to experience it. It was a little chilly that day, so we bundled up and headed out for some good times.

Nana and Maddie waiting on the train. We took the train to the fair this year so we didn't have to try and find a parking spot. It dropped us off right in front and we were able to leave our car in the parking garage where my parents work downtown.

Maddie really enjoyed the train ride.

So did wyatt! He waved at everything and enjoyed seeing all the cars as we went by.

Maddie test driving a car...she wanted to sit in every car in the auto buildings.

Maddie, Wyatt and Daddy sneaking a pic with the Marine Band.

We really enjoyed listening to the band and maddie clapped along to every song.

The is the Ford robot. It waved at Maddie when she waved at him and he gave her the peace sign and she did it back.

BIG TEX!!!

Riding on one of the rides.

Swinging!

Maddie, Daddy and Wyatt on the Carousal.

She thought the horses were pretty.

Maddie kept telling us she wanted to ride the ferris wheel. I didn't think she knew how tall it was so I let her take a peak and she totally decided against it. Maybe next year! :-)

It was pretty late when we were leaving...as you can see from wyatt's face...but we had a blast!
