Sping has Sprung

Hey everyone. Things have been pretty busy around the McMillon house. Nick is trying to finish up this semester at McMurry. I have had meetings and paperwork that take up most of my time. And little Miss Maddie is now 1 1/2 years old. So hard to believe. Yesterday day she said, "Mommy ,where is Stawberry." I said, " I don't know Maddie, where is strawberry?" She said, "Stawberry at home." A little bit later she yelled out, "Stawberry, where are you?....Come here." Maddie has found a new friend in Strawberry Shortcake and loves to watch her movies, look at her pictures and sing her songs. It is just precious.
Here are some pictures that we took a few days ago. We could not get her to look at the camera. She just wanted to pick the bluebonnets. SHHHH...don't tell...we know it is against the law but we had so much fun watching her play. Maddie loves being outside and really pitched a fit when I told her we had to go. The pool opens in a couple of weeks....can't wait for that adventure!!!

Second Sono and some other things...

(The baby's head is down)

Hey everyone. I went for my second sonogram this morning. As you can tell...the baby is much bigger now. My due date is November 2. (and for those of you wondering, maddie was due nov.3rd) Dr. Tadvick said everything looks really good. I will go back in 4 weeks to hear the heartbeat. I will also go on June 18th to Dr. Mayberry to find out the sex of the baby.
In other news...Maddie is sick. She has an ear infection and a throat infection. I am home with her today. I think she will be well enough to go back to daycare tomorrow.
Also, my mom called last night. My brother's friend, Dale(he is in Jame's Unit),called hismom and said they were doing fine. It was good to hear they were safe and doing good.
That is all for now. Hope you have a Wonderful Day!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like EASTER....

Hey everyone. We had such a Wonderful Easter Holiday. It was a very busy time for us. My parents came down for a visit on Saturday and Sunday morning we kicked off the festivities. We went to church then had an easter egg hunt, then ate lunch and had an easter egg hunt and then went to bible study group and ate dinner and then had another easter egg hunt. Oh and Maddie also had an easter egg hunt of Thursday with her daycare. All of this was happening while it was snowing and sleeting and the temperatures were in the 30's. But that didn't stop us. Maddie still wore her spring dress (just with a coat on)and hunted eggs like the temperature was 80 outside. It was a Wonderful day and we feel so blessed to have spent it with our family and friends.
Here are some pics.

A little Sentimental....

Well this morning I pulled Maddie's Easter basket out of the hall closet. Last year we bought the cutest basket. We took some of the cutest pictures last year of her sitting in her basket. Today when I pulled it down Maddie instantly wanted to carry it. She kept calling it a "box". I got a little sentimental thinking back to when she was so little and able to sit in what was then a huge basket. Now she can carry it. She picked it up and headed for the front door saying "bye bye" as she was walking. Her daycare class will be practicing all week for their BIG EASTER EGG HUNT on Thursday. We will also be doing two more on Sunday...with the last being with our Life Group. There are some BIG kids in our group so hopefully Maddie will have "the hunt" mastered by then. I will take plenty of pictures to post on here. I pray you all have a wonderful and reflective week on what our Savior did for us. He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!!!!

Maddie pics

We took some pictures tonight to send to Uncle Jame. He called for his final call this morning. I believe he is already on his way to Baghdad.
Miss Maddie is now 17months old. She is growing like a weed and is a little ham...if you can't tell.

Call from the Desert

Hey everyone. I had a nice surprise this morning. My brother called me from Kuwait. He tried twice and left me a voice mail. I was so upset that I missed him. Thank goodness he called a third time. It was so nice to hear his voice. He asked a lot of questions about Maddie. He was very impressed that she can say "Iraq" if you ask her where her uncle Jame is. He also wanted to know when I was going to find out if I was having a boy. I told him it would be sometime in June. (I think he thought I should know by now.) He will be leaving for Baghdad on Wednesday. I asked him if he was going to a very dangerous place. He said, "yeah it is pretty bad...but it will be OK...these are some good guys that I am with." Good thing he knows how to talk to his sister...any other answer could have sent me into a panic attack. He broke his hand again but is keeping it quiet...don't ask me how he is doing that. He says he can still use his trigger finger so I guess that is all he is worried about. It was so nice to talk to him. We even were able to laugh a little...if you know Jame then you know he can make you laugh at the drop of a hat. He said he hoped to call me again before he left. I sure hope so. I find myself missing him all the time.
Please continue to pray for him...for his safety and for his mind that it will not be jaded by what he sees.
