End of Summer is drawing near

Hey everyone. Well it looks like I only have 3 more weeks before I go back to work. Yuck!!! I have enjoyed the time at home with Maddie so much and part of me wishes I never had to go to work again. Of course once I get back to work...I love it. We are is a process of getting Wyatt's room ready and getting Maddie's new furniture in her room. Nick painted Wyatt's room last night...the color is paper sack brown. It looks really good..especially if you ever saw the RED room that it was. We are getting new carpet for Maddie and Wyatt's room next week. Then it will be all about getting Maddie's new furniture in her room and setting up the nursery. By the way...Maddie loves being in a "Big Girl" bed. We have cute new bedding for her room and I will post pictures as soon as we get everything together.

Little Wyatt is still growing very healthy. This friday I am going for my diabetes test and to watch the video on the epidural. YES......if at all possible I will be getting the epidural again. Maddie is now 21 months old. She weighs 25 1/2 lbs. I swear she looks so much like a little girl now that it is scary. I fianlly figured out how to put all those girls in a pony tail. So cute!!!

Well there is lots to do while I have maddie at daycare today. I'll update as soon as I can.

Potty Training Adventures

We have now entered the Potty training world. For the most part, it started off beautifully....the first time Maddie sat on the potty she went "tee tee" as we like to call it around here. In fact she went all day on the potty with no accidents other than the #2. I was giving her a cocoa puff every time she went. Well apparently that lost its charm and so I moved on to Strawberry Shortcake stickers. So it has now been a week and 2 days and we have had some REALLY good days and days that were NOT so good. Sometimes I have to just stop and look at her and remember that she is only 21 months old and I work with kids who are 3 1/2 that are not potty trained yet. Hopefully it will not take her that long but I have to remember to be thankful for a very bright, stubborn, playful, and energetic little tot. She'll get the hang of it.
On other news....little Wyatt is getting bigger and his kicks are getting very strong. I love this part of pregnancy because the kicks and movements do not keep me up all night...yet...and I get to enjoy not being swollen or too uncomfortable. I am now 22 weeks along.
I have been able to talk to my brother a few times this past week. He seems to be doing good. He thought it was crazy that I would only give Maddie one cocoa puff and said he would go on strike too if her were Maddie. Obviously Maddie and her Unlce think a lot along the same lines.
Well I better go take advantage of having a quiet house. Nick is at work and Maddie is at daycare. I have a huge list of things I need to do...but hopefully I can find some time to rest. Until next time.....

It's a Boy

Hey everyone. We found out Monday that we are having a BOY!!!! We are so excited. We have chosen the name Wyatt Augustus. Maddie calls him "Baby Wydatt." So cute!!! Anyway, now we are picking fabrics and choosing a theme. Well actually...Nick is picking the theme...I'm sure so that I don't get too "girly". The due date is still he same...nov.2nd. Little Wyatt weighs 14oz. right now.

It's been a while

Hey everyone. It has been a while since I have updated on our family. Things here are just peachy. Maddie and I are enjoying all of this time together and she is becoming a little momma's girl. We have spent the last week in Dallas with my parents and brother (he is on leave from Iraq) We had a lot of fun. Here are some pictures from our trip.
We went swimming, went to the zoo, played outside and drove to east texas to see my grandfather. A very busy week and we are both worn out.
I am now 20 weeks along in my pregnancy. Nick and I are going to the doctor next monday to see what the sex of the baby is. So check back and I will update everyone.
Take care!!

15 weeks....

Hey everyone. I went to see Dr. Tadvick this morning. Before I went, I had every intention of asking for a sonogram. With Jame coming home next week...I wanted to be able to tell him what we were having. However, the nurse could not find the baby's heartbeat and so Dr.Tadvick did a sonogram to look at the heartbeat.....no worries....it is normal not to detect the heartbeat at this stage. Our baby has grown so much over the past few weeks. It is now 8in long. I saw the baby sucking its thumb and patting its head with its hand. It also turned and looked right at me. Amazing!! I did see the heartbeat and it was strong. Dr. Tadvick then went down to the feet but everything was so blury that he couldn't tell the sex. Darn!!! Looks like I will have to wait 5 more weeks to find out. Anyway I wanted to share this with all of you. We hope you all are doing GREAT!!!

Oh and the first picture is just a profile. The head is at the right. The bottom picture shows the baby's arm going to its mouth.

Little Miss Priss

Hey everyone. Isn't this picture just too funny. Maddie always pretends she is on the phone. She says, "Hello." ---and she sounds just like a valley girl.

We got some good news yesterday. My brother, Jame, will be coming home for two weeks on May 20th. We are so excited...I swear it feels like he has been gone longer than 2 months. After this visit he for sure will not be able to come home until next February or March.

We just celebrated Nick's 27th birthday. He worked the whole day and then had to go take a final...some birthday huh?? We did manage to eat dinner together. Oh and Maddie and I worked all afternoon to learn the Happy Birthday song...and she did. She sang..."Happy Birtday you....Happy Birtday you...Birtday daddy...Birtday you." It was so cute and I think Nick even teared up a little.

Well I hope you all are doing well. Talk to you soon.
