Wyatt is 16 months old!

My little man turned 16 months old yesterday. He is growing up so fast. He now walks EVERYWHERE and will squirm right out of my hands if I try to hold him. He is loving his new independence and his little personality is coming out. He is ALL boy...from the sounds he makes...to his attention span..and even the toys he plays with.
He is starting to add some words to his vocab...he can now say "love you", and "cup", "ball" and he puts his little finger over his lips to say "shhhhh". He is such a joy and we can't imagine life getting any better than being the parents of two amazing kids.

Delightful Maddie

About a year ago we took Maddie with us to be prophesied over by a prophetic minister that was friends with Nick's uncle. We have known for quite some time...like from the moment we found out I was pregnant with her... that God was going to use her life to further his kingdom in an awesome way.
So the minister told us that Maddie was a dancer/singer and that she makes up songs and sings songs to the Lord...this we already knew. But he also said she going to be "a wonderful little dancer, and the Lord will delight in her." Since that day we have started noticing that Maddie dances all the time, I mean constantly and not just if music is playing...it's almost as if the music is always playing in her mind.
Well tonight was a "Dancing Night." Daddy put on some music and the whole family joined in...even Wyatt who is taking lessons from big sister. After I was completely out of breath and so were Wyatt and Daddy...I grabbed the camera and started videoing Maddie who was still dancing her heart out.
So as nick and I were smiling watching Maddie dance I can only imagine the smile on God's face as he was watching her and "delighting" in her.

Things I love...

In honor of today, I decided to write out a few things I LOVE...in no particular order:

1. the way Maddie's hair smells all the time (I LOVE her shampoo so much that I use it too)

2. the way Wyatt instantly falls down and pretends to be asleep during nap time

3. Hearing Maddie's footsteps EARLY in the morning...she runs to me and says "Good Morning" every morning

4. dropping my kids off for daycare and KNOWING they are safe and loved all day long

5. when Wyatt stops playing just to come and give me a hug

6. the sound of a roaring fire

7. watching my kids play together

8. my sweet husband

9. when the laundry "magically" gets picked up without me asking for it to be done

10. the way my sweet nephew smiles

11. the kids I work with

12. our Life Group

13. seeing something positive on the news

14. being there when my kids learn something new

15. when Maddie sings or talks to Jesus

16. the time nick and I get to spend together after the kids are tucked in bed

17. when I can laugh at myself

18. when I pray and can see my prayers answered

19. my friends and family both near and far

20. when God shows me more of himself

21. going walking 3 nights a week with my girls

22. turning on a worship song LOUD after I drop the kids off at daycare and before I get to work to pump myself for the day ahead of me

23. when someone finds out they are expecting after trying for so long to conceive

24. when wyatt cuddles before bed time

25. the many blessings God has bestowed on me when I least deserve them

Happy V-day! May you all feel the GREATEST LOVE of all today!

Happy Valentine's Day

Sweet Maddie Story

Last night, nick and I were playing with the kids and watching them run all around us. The kids seem to get a second wind right before bed and I think it has a little something to do with the fact that Daddy gets home right after they eat dinner. Anyway, Maddie was playing in the floor and she looked up and said, "Mom, we don't have to worry...Jesus will take care of us, he contoured the great." I said, "What did you say?" She said it a few more times, very determined to make her point, "Jesus contoured the great." Finally it hit me...or maybe the holy spirit just swooped down and cleaned out my ears. What my sweet 3 year old was trying to say was, "Jesus conquered the grave." When I said it to her correctly she said, "Yeah, that is what I said." With a "duh" look on her face. I have no idea where she heard it...probably Sunday School or in a conversation Nick or I have had with someone else. Either way, what a wonderful truth to hold on to. We will be okay....don't worry..."Jesus conquered the grave!"

Mystery Solved:

We figured out tonight that Maddie learned those words from a song we sing at church. We have been letting her go into the worship time with us every Sunday before the sermon because she likes to listen to the band and the songs. Who knew she would actually pick one of the songs up...actually nothing Maddie says or does anymore surprises me!

Super Bowl

Tonight we had a Super Bowl party with our Life Group from church. It was so much fun to get together with everyone...like always. We have the best group of friends!!

The Girls....minus Abbye and Shellye(we missed you both)

We all had the really cool 3D glasses to see the (not) so cool commercials.

Watching the game and eating the YUMMY snacks.
