3 Weeks to Go...2 more weeks of work UGHHH!!!!

Hey everyone. Well I think Wyatt is officially full term now. I have 3 weeks left until my due date and only 2 more weeks to work before I turn everything over to my trusty substitute. Which by the way...it is so hard to write lesson plans...make notes etc. until December for her but hopefully when she starts some of the things I am doing will help her.
This is also a big time for Maddie..she will be turning 2 on Oct. 26th...her birthday party is next weekend...maybe little Wyatt will hold off at least until after her party. I swear she is getting so big now...it is almost unbelievable to me how smart she is. I read one of my friends blogs and she wrote down some of the things her daughter is saying. What a great idea...so here are a few of my favorite Maddie-isms.

1. I hurt my body. Translation--she fell on her bottom.
2.I see the moon and the moon sees me.God loves the moon and God loves me!!!---grandma taught her that
3.I not go tee tee, mommy.---when she doesn't want to sit on the potty or when she doesn't want to be changed
4.I be 2 on October 26th---nick taught her to say this when you ask how old she is.
5.I ride my motorcycle---we bought her a tricycle..she thinks a motorcycle is cooler.
6.Uncle Jame in Iraq--she says this every time she sees a picture of my brother
7.Daddy watchin football--when daddy is glued to the t.v.
8.I want to go choppin---yes I taught her early the importance of going shopping
9.I want cake---when you ask what she wants for her birthday
10.Be with small--she says this at the end of her prayer every night...we pray for every member of our family and then she tries to say "Be with them all"

We are so blessed to have such a sweet little girl. I will post pictures soon of her on her bike and us at the pumpkin patch.

4 weeks to go!!!!

Hey everyone. Well as of tomorrow...I will have 4 weeks left before Wyatt is due. I went to see my doctor on Tuesday and everything looks great. I am now going every week..on Tuesdays. He checked me this week and I have not changed at all. But with all of those "practice contractions" I have been having..I did go to labor and delivery last week. Looks like Wyatt is already showing his personality. I think he is going to be a jokester and make mommy worry a lot.
Maddie is doing much better after her illness last week. Her asthma flared up and we kept her home all week trying to get that under control. Then Tuesday night she began getting sick to her stomach and having been down this road before..we were so worried she would get dehydrated again. However, she is much better today. Nick is at home with her and she should be going back to daycare tomorrow. She also knows that she is about to turn 2. She can say "I gonna be 2" Well there are my updates for now. I better get off of here and do some work.
Happy Birthday wishes to my brother Jame and my mom.

End of Summer

Hey everyone. Well I'm afraid the end of summer for us is here. I started back to work today. I have been trying to find reasons to not stay in my room. I think I have run out of them.
We went to the doctor on Monday...Little Wyatt is doing just great. I have 11 weeks left to go. The nursery is almost complete and before long I will be twiddling my thumbs to find something to do. Actually now that I am back to work I will probably use the extra time to nap. Maddie is getting more excited about Wyatt's arrival as well. The other day we got her on video saying "Hi,Baby Wyatt...I big sister...I love you...See you soon." It was so cute.
Well I guess I better find something constructive to do for the next hour. Have a great day!!!

End of Summer is drawing near

Hey everyone. Well it looks like I only have 3 more weeks before I go back to work. Yuck!!! I have enjoyed the time at home with Maddie so much and part of me wishes I never had to go to work again. Of course once I get back to work...I love it. We are is a process of getting Wyatt's room ready and getting Maddie's new furniture in her room. Nick painted Wyatt's room last night...the color is paper sack brown. It looks really good..especially if you ever saw the RED room that it was. We are getting new carpet for Maddie and Wyatt's room next week. Then it will be all about getting Maddie's new furniture in her room and setting up the nursery. By the way...Maddie loves being in a "Big Girl" bed. We have cute new bedding for her room and I will post pictures as soon as we get everything together.

Little Wyatt is still growing very healthy. This friday I am going for my diabetes test and to watch the video on the epidural. YES......if at all possible I will be getting the epidural again. Maddie is now 21 months old. She weighs 25 1/2 lbs. I swear she looks so much like a little girl now that it is scary. I fianlly figured out how to put all those girls in a pony tail. So cute!!!

Well there is lots to do while I have maddie at daycare today. I'll update as soon as I can.

Potty Training Adventures

We have now entered the Potty training world. For the most part, it started off beautifully....the first time Maddie sat on the potty she went "tee tee" as we like to call it around here. In fact she went all day on the potty with no accidents other than the #2. I was giving her a cocoa puff every time she went. Well apparently that lost its charm and so I moved on to Strawberry Shortcake stickers. So it has now been a week and 2 days and we have had some REALLY good days and days that were NOT so good. Sometimes I have to just stop and look at her and remember that she is only 21 months old and I work with kids who are 3 1/2 that are not potty trained yet. Hopefully it will not take her that long but I have to remember to be thankful for a very bright, stubborn, playful, and energetic little tot. She'll get the hang of it.
On other news....little Wyatt is getting bigger and his kicks are getting very strong. I love this part of pregnancy because the kicks and movements do not keep me up all night...yet...and I get to enjoy not being swollen or too uncomfortable. I am now 22 weeks along.
I have been able to talk to my brother a few times this past week. He seems to be doing good. He thought it was crazy that I would only give Maddie one cocoa puff and said he would go on strike too if her were Maddie. Obviously Maddie and her Unlce think a lot along the same lines.
Well I better go take advantage of having a quiet house. Nick is at work and Maddie is at daycare. I have a huge list of things I need to do...but hopefully I can find some time to rest. Until next time.....
